'Shipping Wars' star dead at 49

Roy Garber, star of "Shipping Wars."

Roy Garber, star of the hugely successful A&E reality series, “Shipping Wars” has died from a massive heart attack at the age of 49.

Garber owned and operated Arbie’s Team Transport in New Hampshire with his son Travis who he had raised by himself for over 18 years.

The A&E website fondly describes Garber as, “a serious jack-of-all-trades and a major know-it-all.”

He was an avid fisherman and experienced scuba diving who would sometimes go to the Gulf Coast searching for sharks.

A&E released this statement to Fox411 regarding the tragic news.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of a member of the A&E family.  Our thoughts are with Roy’s loved ones during this difficult time.  He will be missed.”
