Shakira, Gerard Pique buy $5.4 million Barcelona home

Shakira is moving her growing family to a bigger home in Barcelona.

The Colombian songstress and her soccer-playing boyfriend, Gerard Pique, have reportedly been looking for a new place in the Catalan city for some time and had their eyes set on a home near FC Barcelona’s Camp Nou.

According to Spanish newspaper Sport, the longtime couple put an $11.9 million bid on the house last year, but it was rejected. It recently came back on the market and they jumped on it, reportedly purchasing the home for around $5.4 million.

The house is on Avenida de Pearson, about a 12-minute drive north of the famous Barcelona stadium. The house is surrounded by trees which will give the couple and their two son, Milan and Sasha, some privacy.

Sport-English reported that the couple purchased the house in May but have been working on some renovations since their purchase. More details on the house itself were unavailable.

Pique’s Barcelona teammate Neymar also lives in the neighborhood.
