Romeo Santos and Enrique Iglesias are leading the Latin Billboard Award nominations this year, with 21 and 19 respectively, including artist of the year.
The pair was followed by J Balvin with 12, and Marc Anthony and Drake with seven. Descemer Bueno, Gente de Zona, Julion Alvarez y su Norteño Banda, Farruko, and Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizarraga got with six nods each.
Santos’ 21 nominations culminate a year of success that included two sold out concerts in Yankee Stadium.
Other nominees announced Monday were Marco Antonio Solis and Santana with five; Prince Royce, Calibre 50, Plan B, Winsin and the late Jenni Rivera with four nominations apiece.
Ricardo Arjona, Camila, Chayanne, Alexis & Fido and Juan Gabriel racked up three nominations while, Yandel, new mom Shakira, Banda Los Reconditos, Ricky Martin, El Komander, Calle 13, Remmy Valenzuela, Juan Luis Guerra, Baby Rasta and Gringo have two.
The Latin Billboard Awards will be presented live on Telemundo on April 30 from the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami.
