Robin Thicke's Mom on VMA Performance: 'I Can't Unsee It'

Gloria Loring has had a long and accomplished career as an entertainer. But she's also Robin Thicke's mom, and as such, she isn't keeping mum about her son's VMA performance with Miley Cyrus.

"I just keep thinking of her mother and father watching this," said Loring to Yahoo's OMG! Insider, who screened the performance for the 66-year-old singer, songwriter and actress. "Oh, Lord, have mercy," she remarked.

Loring — who appeared to be blushing throughout the entire viewing — also stated that she "was not expecting [Cyrus] to be putting her butt that close to my son," and added, "The problem is now I can never 'unsee' it."

Loring didn't hate everything about Thicke's medley with Miley, however. She gushed about his performance (and especially his suit) to Yahoo, but eventually turned her attention once again to Cyrus.

"I don't understand what Miley Cyrus is trying to do," Loring said in her interview. "I just don't understand. I think she's misbegotten in this attempt of hers. And I think it was not beneficial."
