Ricky Martin is paying tribute to a teenage high school student who committed suicide after being repeatedly harassed and cyber bullied for being gay.

The Puerto Rican singer changed his Twitter photo to reflect Jamie Rodemeyer, the 14 years old took his own life last week.

Rodemeyer had reached out to the online gay community for support a few weeks prior to killing himself.

“THIS NEEDS TO STOP NOW,” Martin tweeted. “HOW MANY LIVES LOST BEFORE SOMEONE LISTENS #MakeALawForJamey (sic).”

Martin plans to open a new Prevention Center for kids with his organization "The Children's Foundation."

The center is set to open next year in Puerto Rico.
