Nichelle Nichols who played Lt. Uhura in the classic 1960’s TV series, “Star Trek” ran into some trouble at Los Angeles international airport when her travelling companion was arrested.

Law enforcement officials told TMZ that the 81-year-old Nicholls and her twentysomething male companion were at the American Airlines terminal when the man’s suitcase fell opening, allegedly revealing a bag of methamphetamines.

The suitcase reportedly had the actress’ name and luggage tags attached to it but it was determined she had no knowledge of the drugs and was allowed to board her flight.

But her companion was reportedly arrested for drug possession.

Nichols’ rep told the website that the young man was her assistant and it was an e-cigarette, not meth, that was discovered in his luggage.
