The trailer for the Weinstein Company’s  new sci-fi thriller “Apollo 18” is earning the film some serious buzz after its release this week.

Directed by Spanish filmmaker Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego, the film focuses on the rumored canceled Apollo mission in the 1970s. Much like popular horror movies “The Blair Witch Project” and “Paranormal Activity,” the film’s plot centers on alleged secret “found footage” showing two astronauts being hunted by an unknown force , which appears to be attempting to sabotage them.

Boasting the tagline, “discover the reason we never went back,” the trailer shows one of the astronauts is infected by an unknown creature, which then spreads to the rest of his body, causing him to act strangely.

The film opens on April 22.
