Mike Epps defends bringing kangaroo on stage after backlash

Actor and comedian Mike Epps came under fire over the weekend for bringing a live kangaroo on stage during his show holding it on leash.
The actor, who appeared in “The Hangover” and “Next Friday,” brought the kangaroo on stage during his show in Detroit on Friday and appeared to egg the animal on, pulling it by its leash, TMZ reported.
Some show goers and Epps followers were not pleased with the animal addition to the show.

Epps defended the move in a now-deleted Instagram post, captured by The Shade Room.
He wrote that the animal belonged to licensed zookeepers.
TMZ reported the kangaroo belongs to Javon Stacks, who runs a traveling zoo. Stacks told TMZ the animal was not harmed in any way by the show on Friday night.
