Countless babies were no doubt conceived while one of Katy Perry's albums blared from a nearby stereo, but Wednesday evening marks the very first time Katy physically helped to bring a child into this world.

If we're interpreting Katy Perry's latest Twitter post correctly, the 29-year-old singer aided in delivering one of her sibling's babies on Wednesday night — in the comfort of her one of their own living rooms, no less.

Here's what Perry posted at 9:49 p.m:

MTV is reporting that it was likely Perry's older sister Angela who gave birth, but no details have been confirmed.

Whatever the case, it seems congratulations are in order for "Auntie Katy," especially after the rough week she's been having. Her happy news comes shortly after her most recent breakup with on again/off again boyfriend Jon Mayer, and only days after a petition was started to remove her "Dark Horse" video from the web.
