The Golden Globes nominations were announced early Thursday and among the nominees were Latina bombshell Sofia Vergara and newcomer Oscar Isaac.

The Colombian actress was nominated – her the fourth time – for best supporting actress in a TV series for her portrayal of Gloria on ABC’s hit comedy “Modern Family.”

“My Golden Globes are still going strong! That’s why I don’t sag,” she said. “Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for this nomination and for nominating the cast of ‘Modern Family.’ It is truly an honor.”

The TV show was nominated for best TV comedy – not a surprise as they have been nominated and have won in this category before. The surprise was that Vergara’s co-stars Julie Bowen nor Ty Burrell did not receive a nomination.

Vergara is going against heavy hitters Jacqueline Bisset for “Dancing on the Edge,” Janet McTeer in “White Queen,” Hayden Penettiere from “Nashville,” and Monica Potter for “Parenthood.”

Newcomer to award season is Guatemalan singer-actor Isaac, who got the nod for his portrayal of the title role in “Inside Llewyn Davis.”

“Joel and Ethan (Coen) have completely changed my life. There’s a reason why (this) happens to so many actors who are involved in their movies: they create a stage for people to do their absolute best work,” Issac said. “Not only the actors themselves, but everyone involved.”

Daniel Bruhl, who was nominated for best supporting actor for his role in “Rush” said: “I can’t wait to fly to Barcelona to see my mom for Christmas and to sit there with her, my girlfriend and my family under the Christmas tree, and analyze this year that been a roller coaster for me.”

Mexican director Alfonso Cuarón’s space odyssey “Gravity” earned four nominations, including best director and best picture.
