"Duck Dynasty's" Phil Robertson admits he's made mistakes just like everyone else.

The Robertson patriarch told Us Weekly he understands why some people may not like what he has to say but that he won't duck and cover when when it comes to taking heat for his beliefs.

"I don't worry too much about people hating or insulting me," Robertson told the magazine. "I'm a sinful man, and I've made a lot of mistakes. People have reason to hate me."

Take for example, his controversial remarks about homosexuality in GQ magazine.

"All I did was quote a passage of scripture from antiquity," said the 68-year-old. "They're mad at me, but I'm really just quoting what God said, so He's the one they have a problem with."

Robertson was suspended from the A&E show following his remarks which the network called disappointing, but was reinstated nine days later following backlash from "Duck Dynasty" fans.
