Demi Lovato has been through a lot. Persevering through an eating disorder and an emotional public breakdown she realizes she is not the easiest person to date.
“It’s a big responsibility dating me. Because I come with a little bit of baggage, you know?” Lovato told Glamour.
In the issue Lovato addresses the tattoos over her wrist and if they are meant to cover cutting scars.
It’s a big responsibility dating me. Because I come with a little bit of baggage, you know?
“My tattoos say 'Stay strong.' 'Stay' on one wrist and 'strong' on the other. Now I’m able to look at them and be thankful for being alive,” Lovato said.
Lovato made very clear what she wanted from a partner, saying that after going through so much she needs a man that can deal with it.
“I’m honest about the journey I’ve been on, so I definitely don’t take dating lightly anymore. And they have to make me laugh,” she said.
Lovato entered a rehabilitation center last year for an eating disorder as well as for a bipolar disorder and self mutilation.
“Recovery is a daily battle, but such a beautiful gift from God that only YOU can give yourself,” she wrote.
It seems as though a few acquaintances are reaching out to Lovato again, but the pop star is saying thanks but no thanks.
“It's funny how people come around now that your back on your feet and comin' out with a single...#wherewereyouLASTYEAR?!” Lovato wrote via Twitter.
Nonetheless , according to Lovato her fans brought light in her life during her darkest hours and without them "I probably wouldn't be here today."
