Is Nick Jonas going country?

CMT is bringing pop artists into the country music world for their "CMT Crossroads" special, the network announced Thursday in New York City.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2016 inductees Cheap Trick and country singer Jennifer Nettles will kick off the series on March 24.

The seminal series will debut 4 new episodes this year. Jonas and new country artist Thomas Rhett will appear together on the music mash-up special this summer.

Grammy-winning singers and songwriters Rob Thomas and Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum will pair up in an episode to air this spring.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
