Alexa Vega is heading down the aisle – again.
Less than a year after her divorce was finalized from Sean Covel, the “Spy Kids” star is off the market.
The 25-year-old actress is engaged Big Time Rush singer Carlos Peña, Jr., who is one year younger. Vega’s rep confirmed the news to Just Jared.
The couple announced their engagement through Instagram, where Vega posted a photo of a shirtless Peña with the caption “Hello, fiance.”
Peña posted a photo of his fiancé showing off her engagement ring.
“My angel!! @vegaalexa awesome road trip so far!! Now we just need to get back…” read the caption.
The couple began dating late last year. The “Machete Kills” actress filed for divorce from film producer Covel, 37, in July 2012 after two years of marriage. The divorce was finalized in December 2012.
On Thursday, Vega retweeted a message from Covel who congratulated his ex-wife on her engagement.
Deepest congratulations to @alexavega and @TheCarlosPena! May your days be happy, lives be long, and your children, somehow, be tall. ,-)
No further information on the engagement or wedding has been released.
