2015 Ducati Scrambler ready to mix it up

It’s a new bike, with an old name, and it looks as cool as ever.
Ducati has resurrected the Scrambler model for 2015, with classic style wrapped around very modern mechanicals.
The original Scrambler of the 1960s and 1970s was a straightforward, small and nimble single-piston motorcycle aimed at the U.S. market. The last of those still applies, but the new bike is powered by a 75 hp 803 cc twin, has a 6-speed transmission, swing arm rear suspension, disc brakes, LED tail light and even a USB charging port under the seat.

Four versions will be available when it goes on sale in March 2015: the standard Icon, throwback Classic, flat track racing-inspired Full Throttle and the rough and tumble Urban Enduro.
All models weigh about 375 pounds and feature a low seating position and Pirelli dual sport tires good for the street and light off roading.
The starting price is $8,495, which makes the Scrambler the lowest priced Ducati, and also undercuts another retro bike with a similar name, the $9,099 Triumph Scrambler.
