Police in Canada say notes were included in mailed packages containing body parts after the videotaped killing and dismemberment of a Chinese student.

Montreal Police Cmdr. Ian Lafreniere said Wednesday that one note was in the package opened last week at the ruling Conservative Party headquarters. He did not give details, but suspect Luka Rocco Magnotta faces a charge of threatening Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Police previously denied there were notes. Lafreniere says police don't want copycats and are not releasing details.

Police also said body parts mailed to two Vancouver schools and found Tuesday were sent from Montreal and are thought to be linked to the killing and dismemberment of Jun Lin.

Magnotta was arrested in Berlin on Monday.
