SAO PAULO -- Students have taken over part of a Brazilian university after clashing with police who had arrested three classmates for marijuana possession.
The arrests prompted students to erect barricades in the streets and hurl stones at police, who used clubs and tear gas. There have been no reports of injuries.
Students remained in the seized buildings at Sao Paulo University on Friday.
