Latinos gained more jobs than any other group in March, but the overall unemployment rate in the United States remained relatively flat at 8.8 percent.
Job losses among Latinos dipped .3 percent last month from 11.6 percent in February. At the same time, whites saw just a .1 percent change from 8 to 7.9 percent, while blacks actually saw an increase in unemployment by .2 percent to 15.5 percent.
The economy created 216,000 jobs in March, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics report.
Latino unemployment has fallen every month since November, marking the highest unemployment rate among Hispanics since 1983, when it was 14.3 percent.
