Fellow students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill are planning a candlelight vigil for a student who was killed.

The service for 19-year-old Faith Danielle Hedgepeth will be held at 8 p.m. Monday in the Pit on campus. The UNC American Indian Center, Carolina Indian Circle and Alpha Pi Omega Sorority are holding the vigil for Hedgepeth, whose body was found Friday in her apartment.

Police have ruled her death a homicide. They don't believe her death was random.

Hedegepth was an active member of the Haliwa-Saponi tribe. She was a biology major from Warrenton who friends say wanted to be a doctor.
