Prison officials say a man who as a teenager confessed to killing four of his neighbors in Rhode Island is now accused of stabbing an inmate in a Florida prison.

A spokesman for the Rhode Island Department of Corrections says the stabbing involving Craig Price occurred Tuesday and the other inmate was hospitalized in stable condition.

Price was 15 when he confessed to the four killings in Warwick in 1989. He was prosecuted as a juvenile but is serving time for other infractions including contempt of court.

Price, now 43, was transferred to an undisclosed prison in Florida in 2004 after being deemed a security risk.

The spokesman, J.R. Ventura, said Price was now being held in administrative confinement.
