Illinois Driver Accused of Hit-and-Run With Tree

Published November 17, 2014

Fox News

An Illinois man was arrested after a hit-and-run accident – with a tree.

A Kane County police officer was dispatched to the scene of the incident in Yorkville and found a heavily damaged car and tree, but no driver, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Police contacted the car owner, 32-year-old Bryan Dusell, who told them he lost control of the vehicle while driving through an intersection. He then got out of the car and walked home without notifying the property owner about the damages because he thought didn’t have to, police said.

Dussell was taken into custody and received tickets alleging disobeying a stop sign, failing to reduce speed, leaving the scene of an accident, failing to report the accident and failing to give information about damaging property.
