DALLAS – The Latest on the murder trial of a former Texas police officer who fatally shot a teenager in a car (all times local):

Jurors are seeing body camera footage from a former Texas police officer who fired into a car full of black teenagers and fatally shot a 15-year-old boy.
The footage was shown Thursday during the murder trial of former Balch Springs officer Roy Oliver. He killed Jordan Edwards last year as officers responded to a report of underage drinking at a house party.
Oliver, who is white, has said he feared for his and his partner's safety as the car sped by. Prosecutors say Oliver fired after the car passed and his partner wasn't in danger.
In his Oliver's body camera video, screams and honks can be heard after gunfire rings out. The video then shows Oliver getting a rifle from his patrol car.
After the shooting, Oliver can be heard asking his partner if he's all right. Oliver then says the car's driver tried to hit his partner.

The partner of a former Texas police officer accused of firing into a car full of black teenagers and killing a 15-year-old boy says he didn't fear for his life as the vehicle went by.
Tyler Gross testified Thursday during the murder trial of his former partner, Roy Oliver. The shooting occurred last year when the Balch Springs officers responded to a report of underage drinking at a house party.
Oliver told investigators he and his partner feared for their lives when the car carrying the teens sped past them.
But Gross told jurors he never felt the need the fire his weapon. He says there were 100 to 150 kids coming out of the house, and that officers talked to the host about not having such a big party.
Prosecutors say Oliver fired at the car after it passed and Gross wasn't in danger.

Opening statements are underway in murder trial of a former Texas police officer accused of firing into a car full of black teenagers and killing a 15-year-old boy.
Prosecutor Michael Snipes told jurors on Thursday that Jordan Edwards was an "innocent child" when he was killed last year by then-Balch Springs Officer Roy Oliver.
Snipes says the white former officer was angry, out of control and "trigger happy."
No guns were found inside the teens' car.
The shooting occurred as officers responded to a report of underage drinking at a house party.
According to court records, Oliver said he and his partner feared for their lives when the car carrying the teens sped past them. But the prosecutor says Oliver fired at the car after it passed.
The 38-year-old Oliver was fired from the police force after the shooting.
