Florida deputies say a man accused of shooting a teenager with a crossbow may be linked to four other attacks.

The Sun Sentinel reports 33-year-old William Rodriguez was charged Wednesday with attempted murder. He's accused of shooting Nicholas Martin Alexandre in the hand.

The Broward Sheriff's Office says Rodriguez has admitted to firing shots from a tactical pistol crossbow while driving around Pompano Beach.

An arrest report says Rodriguez told deputies demons were harassing him. He says he randomly shot at people to stop them. Investigators think Rodriguez might be involved in four similar incidents since August 2016. These include a man and woman being shot separately while walking along a road and two people being shot at bus stops.

The newspaper doesn't say if he has a lawyer.
