Police say a federal agent shot a man who'd tried to hold him up with a revolver while he and two other agents were sitting inside a pickup truck on an undercover mission.

Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis said two men tried to rob the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents, who were in plain clothes, on Friday afternoon in West Baltimore. Davis said one of the would-be robbers was shot but is expected to survive.

Davis said, "the two men rapidly approached the pickup truck in an apparent robbery attempt," and that the agents quickly fired their service weapons. Davis said a gun was recovered from the man who was shot.

Police are still searching for the second suspect involved in the alleged robbery attempt.
