BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – A Connecticut man charged with killing his parents after they threatened to cut him out of their wills has been given another month to decide whether to take a plea deal.
Kyle Navin's case returned to state court in Bridgeport on Thursday. Judge Robert Devlin extended the deadline to decide on the plea bargain to Jan. 12.
The terms of the plea deal and the reason Navin was given more time to decide were not disclosed.
The Easton man has pleaded not guilty to killing his parents, Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin, whose bodies were found in Weston in October 2015.
Navin is detained on $2.5 million bail. His girlfriend, Jennifer Valiante, is detained on $2 million bail and denies charges she conspired with Navin in the killings.
