Deputies in Florida say a woman was robbed in her hotel room in Orlando's tourist area.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said in a news release that the 25-year-old woman called for help Wednesday night from her room at the Comfort Inn and Suites. She wasn't injured.

The hotel is near the Wyndham Orlando Resort where a Turkish tourist was fatally shot last week during an attempted robbery while on his honeymoon.

The Orlando Sentinel (http://bit.ly/2ctphzR ) reports sheriff's officials tried to reassure visitors that the International Drive tourist district "is one of the safest areas in our community."

It's been a summer of tragedies in Orlando with the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history, the death of a toddler by an alligator and the slaying of a former singer from "The Voice."
