A New Hampshire state trooper involved in the videotaped beating of a man after a two-state car chase is set to plead guilty to several charges.

Thirty-one-year-old Andrew Monaco was arrested in July on charges stemming from his use of force in the arrest of Richard Simone Jr. on May 11 following a 50-mile pursuit through Massachusetts and New Hampshire. A Massachusetts state trooper, 32-year-old Joseph Flynn, also faces charges.

Video captured by a TV news helicopter appears to show Simone surrendering and officers then punching him repeatedly.

The attorney general said this week that Monaco is expected to plead guilty Thursday to three counts of simple assault.
