A Pennsylvania man accused of being drunk when he gave beers to Amish boys and yelling "Rumspringa!" before causing a crash with their horse-drawn buggy has been sentenced to at least a month in jail.

A Lancaster County judge sentenced Nottingham resident Thomas Candler Felts on Tuesday. Felts pleaded guilty in March to misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence and furnishing alcohol to minors.

Prosecutors say Felts approached a group of Amish boys at a convenience store parking lot in August. They say he handed them cans of Yuengling (YING'-ling) and asked them about Rumspringa, when Amish adolescents are free of religious constraints before they join the church.

Prosecutors say he later passed the buggy on a road and screamed "Rumspringa!" before slamming on his brakes, causing the buggy to smash into his car.
