Police in suburban Philadelphia say surveillance video enabled them to identify the woman who kidnapped a baby boy from a mall and return the infant to his mother within about five hours.

Seven-week-old Ahsir Simmons was reunited with his mother late Thursday.

The alleged kidnapper is in custody but has not yet been identified.

In an interview with TV station WPVI, the child's mother tearfully thanked God, police and all those who provided tips.

Police say a woman befriended the boy's family at the King of Prussia Mall, and they sat together in the food court. When the baby became fussy, police say the woman asked if she could hold him.

The mother allowed her to do so while she took a phone call and dealt with other children. The woman then walked away with the baby.

They were found in nearby Tredyffrin Township.
