One year later, feelings still are raw over the fatal shooting of a teenager by a police officer in Eaton County.

Hundreds of people attended a rally Saturday outside the state Capitol in support of 17-year-old Deven Guilford, who was shot seven times during a traffic stop. Many held signs that said, "He was just a kid" and "Thou shall not kill."

The Eaton County prosecutor declined to file charges against Sgt. Jonathan Frost of the sheriff's department. A lawsuit is pending against Frost and the county.

Guilford was stopped for flashing his high beams and was dead within minutes.

The Rev. Larry Schrauger of Oneida Gospel Church in Grand Ledge tells the Lansing State Journal (http://on.lsj.com/1LmbPLz ) there's no resolution "to the hurt in people's souls."
