Police in Northern California have arrested a teacher's aide after video circulated on social media showing the woman slapping a young boy as two people hold him by the arms and legs.

The Contra Costa Times reports (bayareane.ws/1kNSw1g) Antioch Police arrested Kamaljot Kaur Wednesday after interviewing the two staff members seen holding the boy, student witnesses and the 9-year-old victim.

Police say the boy, who is from Oakland, was hit Tuesday but that he didn't have any visible injuries or complaints of pain.

Kaur is being held on $100,000 bail on suspicion of child cruelty, Contra Costa County Sheriff Department records show. She hasn't been assigned a public defender and it's unclear if she has retained a private attorney.

The videos were shot at Tobinworld II, a special-needs school in Antioch. Last year, a parent who says his son was abused on campus filed a lawsuit against the school.
