DECATUR, Ga. – Police say they've surrounded a hotel near Atlanta as a man inside is refusing to leave, prompting concerns about the safety of several children inside the building.

DeKalb County Police Major Tonya Dedrick tells CBS46 (http://bit.ly/1PHOxhJ ) that up to 11 children and two adults were inside of the room when the situation began around 2 a.m. Tuesday.

A SWAT team has been called to the rite4us Inn & Suites hotel near in the Decatur area, about 10 miles southeast of downtown Atlanta.

Few other details were immediately available early Tuesday morning.
