COLUMBUS, Ohio – The husband of an Ohio woman accused of suffocating her three sons has been charged with sexually assaulting her when she was a teenager.
An indictment in western Ohio was made public Thursday. It says the 43-year-old Bellefontaine (behl-FOWN'-tihn) man was considered the woman's stepfather when he impregnated her in 2009 when she was 17.
The indictment says he had lived in her house since she was 9 and held himself out as her father.
The 23-year-old woman has been charged with three counts of aggravated murder in her sons' deaths and faces the possibility of a death sentence if convicted. She has pleaded not guilty.
A message was left with an attorney who represented the husband in a custody case.
