WASHINGTON – The Treasury Department is targeting two financiers from Qatar (GUH'-tur) who are suspected of being major supporters of al-Qaida and the Nusra Front terrorist groups throughout the Middle East.
Treasury official Adam Szubin (Soo-bin) says the action is aimed at unraveling and disrupting funding schemes exploited by such organizations.
