Floors are proving to be a popular on-a-budget sleeping option for some of the faithful heading to Philadelphia to see Pope Francis in September.

Space is being made available in all kinds of places for those willing to use sleeping bags or yoga mats.

A Pittsburgh tour company working with four western Pennsylvania dioceses has secured space in museums, classrooms and churches for the more than 1,000 young people it is guiding the weekend of Sept. 26-27.

With lodging at a premium, group travel director Belinda Lewis Held of A Pilgrim's Journey says young people are willing to rough it to see Pope Francis.

More than 1 million pilgrims are expected in Philadelphia, where the pope will attend a world meeting of Roman Catholic families and celebrate an outdoor Mass.
