A dozen cabs stolen in Philadelphia, some used in crimes

PHILADELPHIA – Police are seeking the suspect who has stolen a dozen cabs in nine days in Philadelphia.

Some of the cabs have been used in crimes.

The thefts have occurred in the west and southwest section of the city and most belong to 215 Get A Cab.

Five cabs have been recovered, but police are worried the other cabs could be used to commit crimes.

Police want anyone taking a cab to make sure the driver has proper identification. Passengers also should avoid getting into cabs without a dome light or a meter running.
