Atlanta police say they're searching for a woman who disappeared after she failed to make her connecting flight at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Police say Anna Giannini's flight from Milan, Italy, landed in Atlanta 5:10 p.m. Sunday.

Atlanta police Officer Ralph Woolfolk tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://on-ajc.com/1AMAOD5) that Giannini was expected to take a connecting flight home to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Woolfolk says she wasn't on the plane when it landed there.

Police say she hasn't been heard from since then.

Woolfolk says police are not certain whether the 32-year-old woman got on another flight or how she left the airport, which is the world's busiest.
