A police officer shot during a deadly late-night brawl outside a Wal-Mart in north-central Arizona is at home recuperating.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says Cottonwood police Sgt. Jeremy Daniels was released from the hospital Thursday.

DPS officials say the March 21 incident began when a Wal-Mart employee was shoved inside the store. Police then found the suspects and that's when the fight began.

DPS says 21-year-old Enoch Gaver was shot and killed. A second suspect, 28-year-old David Gaver, was shot in the abdomen but has since been released and booked on charges.

Seven suspects, including two juveniles, were arrested on aggravated assault charges. Eight officers suffered minor injuries.

Authorities say the suspects appear to all be related and were living out of a Chevrolet Suburban with Idaho plates.
