Arizona authorities are trying to identify several suspects after a late-night brawl in a Wal-Mart parking lot left one person dead and two others suffering from gunshot wounds, including a police officer who was shot in the leg.

Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves said the eight people jailed or hospitalized following the incident late Saturday night in Cottonwood aren't cooperating.

One suspect was fatally shot, a second was shot in the abdomen and a Wal-Mart employee suffered a sprained arm and cuts. The wounded officer is expected to recover.

According to Graves, the incident began when an employee was shoved inside the store. Cottonwood police later found the suspects in the store's parking lot.

Graves said the people were living in an SUV with Idaho plates and might be related.
