NEWTON, N.J. – Authorities say two New Jersey boys at the center of a custody dispute have been found unharmed in Florida with their father along with a Tennessee fugitive wanted on sex charges.
The Sussex County prosecutor says Kristopher Dohm was found with his sons at the Royal Palm Inn in New Port Richey, Florida, on Wednesday. He was arrested on charges of interference with custody and unlawful flight.
Authorities say he was with Edward Tarras Jr., who is wanted in Tennessee where police say he cut off a tracking bracelet in August. Tarras faces numerous sex-related charges including sexual exploitation of a minor.
Authorities say Dohm left New Jersey in February with his 8 and 7-year-old sons in violation of a custody agreement.
It was unclear if the men had lawyers.
