Three upstate New York high school students, all under 16, have been charged with misdemeanors in the alleged bullying of a special needs classmate that was recorded and posted on social media.

Police say the charges stem from incidents in a Greece Athena High School bathroom. Police declined to release details, citing the boys' ages.

But the mother of one boy, Angela Fernandes, confirmed an account she gave WROC of Rochester. Fernandes told the television station that her son said the classmate voluntarily stuck his head in a toilet and asked the others if they wanted to see him drink his own urine. She said all four boys laughed about it as they walked out the bathroom together.

Her son is facing a felony charge for allegedly recording the incident.
