A 15-year-old boy has been stabbed to death outside an East Los Angeles middle school, and authorities are looking for another boy who attacked him.

Sheriff's and school district officials say the boy was declared dead at a hospital after the stabbing shortly after school let out on Friday afternoon at David Wark Griffith Middle School. Sheriff's deputies are looking for the boy who stabbed him, and homicide detectives are investigating the killing.

Los Angeles Unified School District spokesman Daryl Strickland tells City News Service the victim is a student at nearby Garfield High School. It's not clear whether the suspect attends the school.
