DENVILLE, N.J. – Authorities say a man accused of robbing a New Jersey bank last month made his demand for money in a Christmas card he passed to the teller.
That's according to court records made public Monday in the case of Larry Zhou, a 31-year-old Morris Plains resident.
An affidavit filed by a Denville police detective stated that after the Dec. 27 robbery, a county probation employee saw surveillance video of the robbery and told authorities that the man appeared to be Zhou. Authorities soon learned that Zhou owns the same type of a car used in the robbery.
Zhou was charged Dec. 29. He's due to make his initial court appearance Wednesday.
A telephone message left Monday for Zhou's attorney, Paul Selitto, was not immediately returned.
Authorities have not said how much money was taken in the robbery.
