Potential jurors for the penalty retrial of convicted murderer Jodi Arias are being summoned back to court as attorneys whittle down the group to an impartial panel that will determine whether the former waitress receives the death penalty or life in prison.

Roughly 175 prospective jurors remain out of an initial group of 400 who were brought in for questioning last week.

They are set to return to court Monday morning. The retrial is expected to last into December.

Arias was convicted of murder last year in the 2008 killing of her ex-boyfriend in Arizona, but jurors couldn't agree on a sentence. Prosecutors have one more shot with the new jury to secure the death penalty, otherwise Arias faces life in prison.
