LEMOORE, Calif. – A sailor at Lemoore Naval Air Station in Central California has been charged with rape and other sex crimes against two children.
The Fresno Bee reports 35-year-old Anthony Douglas Brown was arrested Monday and arraigned Wednesday on 13 felonies and one misdemeanor.
He was ordered held on $4.31 million bail.
The charges stemmed from an investigation by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and Kings County District Attorney's office.
Deputy District Attorney Sarah Hacker said one victim is 14 or older and the other is under 14. She declined to release further details.
Brown is an information systems technician first class from Texas. He joined the Navy in 1997 and has been based in Lemoore about two years.
