A woman who authorities say flew from San Jose to Los Angeles without a ticket has been sentenced to jail after admitting she violated her probation by returning to the LA airport.

Los Angeles City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan says 62-year-old Marilyn Jean Hartman was sentenced Wednesday to 177 days in jail for returning to LAX last Thursday after a judge ordered her to stay away from the facility. Authorities say Hartman wandered through terminals there without a ticket.

The previous day, Hartman pleaded no contest to sneaking onto the Southwest Airlines flight from San Jose to Los Angeles. A judge placed her on probation for two years and ordered her to stay away from LAX unless she had a ticket.
