Two men have been sentenced to several months in prison for causing a destructive wildfire in the Los Angeles foothill suburb of Glendora in January.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says Clifford Henry Jr. was sentenced Monday to six months in federal prison and Steven Robert Aguirre was sentenced to five months.

Authorities say an illegal campfire sparked the Colby Fire on Jan. 16 in the Angeles National Forest in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. Santa Ana winds propelled the blaze into Glendora, where it destroyed five homes and damaged 17 other structures.

In May, 22-year-old Henry and 21-year-old Aguirre were convicted of lighting and failing to control an illegal campfire. A third defendant, Jonathan Jarrell, was convicted in connection with the fire and is scheduled to be sentenced later this month.
