The FBI has arrested a longtime Dallas County commissioner whose home was raided by federal agents in a 2011 money laundering investigation

Attorney Billy Ravkind confirmed the arrest Friday of John Wiley Price, who has held office since 1985. Ravkind had no immediate information on charges against his client.

The FBI and federal prosecutors did not immediately comment. Messages left at Price's office Friday morning were not returned.

Price has denied any wrongdoing following the June 2011 FBI raid on his home.

In 2012, federal authorities asked a judge to allow them to keep about $230,000 in cash seized from a safe in Price's home. In an affidavit, the FBI accused Price of money laundering dating to a personal bankruptcy filing in 1996. No criminal charges were filed.
