A medical examiner says no sign of trauma or foul play were found on eight decaying bodies discovered at an abandoned funeral home in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Tarrant County medical examiner says seven of the eight bodies found Tuesday show advanced stages of decomposition.

Authorities have identified five of the bodies. A 48-year-old woman and two fetuses remain unidentified.

The property owner told police he found the decomposing bodies, but no workers, after he told the Johnson Family Mortuary to vacate the building.

An attorney for the Texas Funeral Service Commission says the mortuary's state license expires this month and is the focus of five commission investigations.

Fort Worth police say they are investigating the case on abuse-of-corpse charges.
