A Colorado woman says a moving company she hired to pack up her spa business charged her three times the quoted price and has not given her back tanning beds and equipment until she pays up.
KDVR.com reported that Stephanie Renter alerted prosecutors that she hired Mafia Movers and they drove off with her property and demanded $2,600.
The Better Business Bureau of Denver told the station that the mover earned a “D” rating for 14 complaints in the last 12 months; many remain unresolved by the consumer agency.
The owners did not respond to a request for comment from the station.
